Dr Kylie Menolee

Clinical Psychologist

Hi, I’m Kylie, a Clinical Psychologist

I was trained in the UK and I have a passion for helping individuals, especially children, young people and their families, navigate both mental health and physical health challenges. My goal is to support you, or your child, achieve a meaningful and improved quality of life.

My Story

Since starting my doctorate in 2016, I have worked in various National Health Service (NHS) services as well as the private sector, with individuals across all ages experiencing a range of difficulties. I love working with people and feel privileged to have met so many wonderful people from diverse backgrounds, each with their own unique stories and strengths.

What will it be like when I first meet you?

I understand that seeing a therapist isn’t easy and can feel quite daunting, so I work to create a warm and compassionate space where you feel comfortable sharing. I value authenticity and take a flexible, collaborative, and creative approach to help build trust and engagement. In our initial sessions, I’ll get to know you—your family, support network, interests, alongside your concerns, and the goals you hope to achieve.

What types of therapy do you use and what kind of difficulties do you help people with?

My experience spans a range of challenges, including stress, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, low self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties, school difficulties and parenting support. I am also experienced in providing assessment to children and young people with cognitive difficulties that are impacting on their everyday functioning and/or school performance.

I also have extensive experience in supporting individuals living with long term or acute health conditions, such as diabetes, cancer, and obesity. This includes helping people adjust to a new diagnosis, treatment-related anxiety, or for parents who want support with how to communicate health needs to their child.

I use a range of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, tailored to fit your needs.

What are your interests outside of psychology?

I am a mum of 2 young lively boys, and I love to explore the world and new experiences with them, alongside my family and friends. In my spare time, I enjoy running and Pilates. I also love to watch a good series or movie or read a book.
